Sample question from test 9
signals-markings
A green arrow at a traffic signal permits you to:
- Make the movement indicated by the arrow
- Ignore pedestrians already crossing
- Enter in any direction without checking
- Treat every red light as out of service
Answer: Make the movement indicated by the arrow. A green arrow authorizes the movement shown by that arrow, such as a left or right turn. It does not erase the duty to yield to pedestrians or vehicles already in the intersection. The unrestricted entry choice is too broad because the arrow controls a particular movement, while a green arrow does not make every red signal irrelevant. Read the arrow’s direction, check the intersection, and yield to anyone already occupying the path before proceeding.
