Mississippi permit test: what to bring

What to bring to the Mississippi permit test

Who this checklist covers: First regular Mississippi learner permit for U.S.-citizen residents age 15 or older with an assigned SSN, including minors and adults. This covers initial knowledge/vision testing; noncitizen documents, transfers, restricted permits and later road-test waivers are outside the checklist.

Bring originals unless the official list says copies are accepted. Items marked Under 18 apply only to minors.

Where to go and how to book

DPS strongly recommends an appointment. Knowledge exams must be taken in person; leave phones, smart watches, earbuds and other electronics outside the testing area.
