Who this checklist covers: First Iowa Class C instruction permit for unmarried U.S.-citizen residents ages 14-17 with an assigned Social Security number, applying with parent/guardian consent and testing in person. Iowa issues minors REAL ID-marked permits. Excludes adult, married/emancipated-minor, noncitizen and online/school-test pathways.
